Bank. C1900. Limestone ashlar with slate roof. Baroque style. Three storeys, with five bays facing Park Street, four facing The Bridge and one diagonally across the corner. Ground floor rusticated, with cornice, windows with round heads and keystones, and cartouches between bays under the cornice. Upper storeys separated by giant Corinthian pilasters. Each bay contains a recessed two-storey canted bay window with pilasters as mullions, sashes with glazing bars, a first floor cornice, and a second floor pediment. The diagonal bay is blank on the first and second floors and has a carving of a beehive. Balustrade above modillion cornice. Door- ways in third bay facing The Bridge, with round head, and in left-hand bay facing Park Street, with pediment. Shown on a photograph taken by Billy Meikle, C1910, and in an earlier photograph which shows both the bank and the predecessor of the present building, dated 1904, on the corner of Park Street and Bradford Street.
