17/26 Statue of "Spring" approx.
20m. SW of Manor House

GV II

Statue. Early C18. Limestone. Female figure with a garland of flowers
representing "Spring". Moulded ironstone plinth. Badly eroded, one leg missing.
Part of a group of statues of "The Seasons" with a central figure of "Atlas"
(q.v.) noted as having belonged to a formal garden layout of c.1700 at the Manor
House (q.v.).
