ASHBY ST.LEDGERS MAIN STREET SP5768 (East side) 17/11 Dovecote and attached walls 18/01/68 approx. 25m. SW of Manor House (Formerly listed as Ancillary buildings at Ashby St. Ledgers Manor)

GV II

Dovecote. C17. Squared coursed ironstone, ashlar quoins, tile roof. Doorway with moulded stone jambs and plain stone lintel. Coped gable ends with kneelers and ball finials. Two louvred wooden lanterns. 3-light stone-mullioned windows in side walls. Interior not inspected. Wall attached to SE corner at rear and bordering north side of the churchyard: C17, coursed squared ironstone and ironstone ashlar coping. Further short section of wall, built of similar materials links dovecote with the gatehouse (q.v.).
