House. Late C17 core; altered and fronted in the early C19.
Timber-framed and rendered; plaintiled roof with a wide plain
eaves cornice; slate to the lower courses on the rear slope.
2 storeys, attic and cellar; 2 extensions at the rear. 2
gable-end chimney-stacks with plain red brick shafts. A
central door with 6 raised fielded panels in a doorcase with
reeded pilasters, Greek key pattern frieze and cornice. A
dormer window in the rear slope of the main roof.
INTERIOR: largely Georgianised, with a plain early C19 winder
stair. All framing covered on the ground storey, but
indications that the roof, which has clasped side purlins, has
been raised.
