Farmhouse, now hotel. C16 core, remodelled during late C17 or early C18;
C20 restoration. Sandstone rubble with hipped stone slate roof. Rectangular
plan aligned east/west with cross-wing at east end, east of centre entrance
and two axial stacks, further lateral stack to cross-wing. Two storeys
and attics. South front: three gabled dormer windows with 2-light casements,
three 2-light C20 cross-casements to first floor, wooden framed doorway with
C20 battened door, gable end of cross-wing to right with two similar C20
cross-casements, and French casement to ground floor, east return of cross-
wing with 2-light casement window. Interior retains fine late C16 or early
C17 geometric design plastered ceiling in south room of east cross-wing,
room also retains wooden panelled dado with fluted frieze, two heavily
moulded doorways survive to right of entrance hall. C17 panelling also
survives in south room on first floor of cross-wing.
