House. C18, extended at rear and front windows altered in mid
C19. Red brick, lighter red brick in rear extension, and steep
old red tile roof. Double-fronted double-pile plan house
facing W. Central entrance, internal gable chimney on N and
external gable chimney on S. Symmetrical front of 2-storeys and
3-windows with floor band and flat gauged arches to upper
windows. Recessed sash windows with 2/2 panes. Twin flat
topped canted bay windows with cornice and similar sash windows
flank the 6-panelled fielded door (top 2 panels qlazed) up 3
steps in wooden doorcase with panelled pilasters and an open
pedimented hood on bold carved brackets. C19 full height rear
extension doubled depth of house. An old tiled stable block
linked to rear is refaced in C19 red brick.
