House. Circa 1894, as a master's house for Haileybury. Red brick with rusticated stucco quions and steep hipped Westmorland green slate roof. A square one and a half storeys pavilion with a truncated pyramid slate roof and large square glazed cupola or lantern having an ogee lead roof and tall finial and ball. Small-paned casement windows with upper floor windows rising above eaves under hipped slate roofs. Small projection on west side with door in the angle under a moulded flat hood with wrought iron brace. Tall red brick chimneys with moulded caps.
Forms a group with No 4 and Haileybury College.
