SO 45 NE MONKLAND CP MONKLAND

5/82 Manor Cottage

House. C15, remodelled C17 with some early C19 and late C20 alterations.
Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill on a painted rubble
plinth under a tile roof. Three bays aligned east/west, with gable-end
stack to west and C20 rear (south) extension. North front of two storeys
with two pairs of single-light casements to the right. Ground floor has
three 2-light casements with entrance to centre. It has a C20 half-glazed
porch and a glazed door. Framing: three square panels high raised by a
further panel in C19. A cruck truss is visible in the east gable, but no
further crucks are detectable inside.
