Lych gate about 15 metres
north-west of
Church of All Saints

Lych gate. c1877, probably by G E Street. Timber-frame with some brick infill
under a shingle roof. Square plan. Entrance front has turned corner posts, a
moulded tie-beam with pierced boarding above and inscribed bargeboards. Pair
of wooden gates with open square panels hung on moulded posts. Side walls are
half-glazed with leaded lights, and are gabled. Inscription reads: "In Memoriam
Henrii Baker Quondam Vicarii" on the tie-beam, and on the bargeboards "I will
go into thy gates with thanksgiving/ and into thy courts with praise".
