Stable block. Late C18 to early C19. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings,
rear of brick, with hipped slate roof. U-plan with wings to rear, and
central entrance. South front: two storeys with modillioned wooden cornice.
The central entrance rises through both storeys with a crenellated parapet
and stone cornice, the entry has a four-centred arch. 3 + 2 windows, mostly
2-light casements under segmental heads. Ground floor has 2 + 2 recesses
with four-centred heads, each containing a 3-light casement. Mounting block
attached to right of entrance. croft Castle is a property in the care of the
National Trust.
