Stable court, about 20
metres west of Conghurst
GV II
Stable courtyard. Early C19. Sandstone blocks with slate roofs. Courtyard
composed of single storey hipped block to left, with boarded half door with
rectangular fanlight and wooden casement windows, plain wall to rear, gabled wing
to right, with half-door and casements and gabled return wing to front right, with
sliding gates across courtyard opening. At left, an additional hipped single
storey block, now used as garaging, with boarded door in weather-boarded opening
to left, central boarded door and casement and carriage doors to right. This
block joined to Conghurst by stone wall, about 6 feet high, with boarded gate at
house (east) end.
