GV II

Barn and stables forming a single L-shaped block. Mid C19. Random rubble
with sandstone dressings. °Tiled roofs. An integrated farmbuilding
containing various functional units. Gables with coping and kneelers,
quoining throughout. Two doorways with rebated surrounds appear to be re-
used otherwise all openings with tooled long and short stone surrounds;
doors planked with strap hinges. Flight of external stairs facing
farmyard serves the shorter of the 2 wings, another to the rear, the
shorter. 2 tiers of slit ventilators to rear wall. A good mid C19
farmbuilding included for group value with Hilltop Farmhouse (G.V, ref
7/143), and probably contemporary with the rear wing of the house.
