3 cottages, semi-detached, wrongly shown on 6 inch O.S. map as
Tally Ho. Early C19 with C20 extension. Coursed squared and
dressed limestone, concrete tile roof, limestone gable end coping,
ashlar and brick stacks. Rectangular plan with large outshut on
right with external stack projecting forwards. Smaller outshut
attached to left gable end in C20 porch projecting forward from
facade of Southwold (left). Main body, 2 storeys and attic lit by
three C20 two-light dormers, 5-windowed; 12-pane sashes to No 2
and Gazeley View (right). C20 two-light casements to Southwold.
6-panel door to No 2 with upper panels replaced by glazing.
Canopy with moulded edge supported on moulded brackets over. C20
door to outshut far right. Double doors with pitching door over
to outshut far left. Flat gable end coping. Gable end and axial
stacks. Former headquarters of the George Wright's, Stone Pipe
Company 1808-1815.
