Hotel, late C18. Brick on stone plinth of 2 courses, slate roof
with brick dentil cornice, 3 brick stacks, painted string courses
of stone at 1st floor level, brick at 2nd floor level. Main front
range with 2 rear extensions for stables etc forming U-shape, 3
storeys. 6 bays, 5 symmetrical with additional recessed bay to
left. 12-pane sashes with cemented voussoirs and enlarged dropped
keystone. Central basket arch entrance with keystone and imposts
and recessed revolving door with large painted canopy over showing
Berkeley coat of arms.
