Hall house, now public house. C15 with C17 alterations and extended to front
left in early C20. Timber framed clad in whitewashed brick below, fishscale
tile hanging above with steeply pitched, hipped, plain-tiled roof with end
gablets. Wing to left: brick below, imitation framing above with roughcast
infill, machine tiled roofs. Two storeys, four framed bays with inserted
stack to right of centre. Blocked window to first floor right of centre,
under-eaves casement windows to ends, that to right with gable over. On-
eaves, gabled, leaded casement dormer to left of centre. Three, 3-light
leaded ground floor windows. Blocked door to right of centre. Plank door to
right under pentice hood on braces, half-glazed door to left under larger,
pentice hood on braces. Extensions to left set back, with star-shaped stacks
at junction with house, continuous leaded fenestration along the first and
ground floors. Gable end to street tile-hung with crowstepped plinth to
diagonal stacks.
