Pair of cottages, originally one house. Probably C17 altered probably in C19 and
modernised in C20. Rendered rubble walls with gable ended slate roof. 2 rendered
rubble stacks, one at left gable end with brick shaft and one lateral stack at
front. Rendered brick right-hand gable stack.
Originally 3 room and through-passage plan with front lateral stack to hall and
gable stack to left-hand, probably lower, room. Newel stairs at rear of hall.
Divided into cottages at lower end of hall probably in C19 with no. 19 to left and
no. 21 to right which is in process of being renovated. C19/C20 outshut at rear of
no. 19.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4 window front. No. 19 to left has 2 window front of c.
early C20 2-light casements on first floor. On ground floor is 3-light c. early C20
casement to far left with early C20 plank door to its right under shallow slate door
hood. To the right of that is C19 12-pane sash. No. 21 has c. early C20 2-light
casements on first floor. On ground floor is 3-light C20 casement to far right with
C19 panelled door to its left. Beyond that is projecting stack at to its left is
late C20 2-light casement with small panes. At rear is rectangular stair projection
to no. 21 at left of centre with very small window opening. Outshut to the right.
Interior inaccessible at time of survey, contains wood newel staircase and other C17
features may be concealed.
