Lodge to Southbrook. Looks early C19 stylistically (i.e. earlier than Southbrook)
but cavity walls suggest that it may be late C19 (information from owner).
Colourwashed and plastered ; thatched roof, hipped at ends ; right end stack, front
lateral stack. Gothick.
Plan: single depth block, 2 rooms wide, rounded at the left end with an entrance on
the south side into a passage. C20 single storey additional block at the rear.
Exterior: single storey. Asymmetrical 2 window front with a rustic thatched porch to
left of centre with an arched front door with flush panels and 2 2-leaf arched
Gothick windows with Gothick glazing bars and square-headed hood-moulds to the right
of the porch. At the left end, which is rounded, 2 similar windows.
Interior: Late C19 tiled chimney-piece to the front lateral stack.
Group value with Southbrook and the Southbrook gate-piers.
