west of Treago

GV II

Stable block. Circa 1840. Sandstone rubble, sandstone dressings and tiled
roof. U-plan with arms facing eastwards. One storey and attic. East
elevation is symmetrical with central gable front flanked by two advanced
gables each of which has a pair of buttresses, a 3-light ground floor case-
ment and a central attic light; central gable has 2-light window to attic
and a pair of shallow triangular headed coach entries. Interior of right
wing has a series of loose boxes. The stable block occupies a prominent
position on the approach to Treago (qv). Included for group value.
