13/128 Vine Cottage

GV II

House. Late C18. Buff brick with rubbed red brick flat arches to front
windows. Hipped old red tile roofs but slated outshut to rear of RH
part. A 2 storeys and cellar L-shaped house facing S with NW rear wing.
Symmetrical 3 windows wide S front with recessed sash windows, plastered
reveals and 8/8 panes generally but 6/6 to narrower window over central
door with heavy frame, 3 steps, and flat hood on shaped brackets. A
segmental arched casement window on each floor on W and N sides of rear
wing and separate W side door. 2 large chimneys on rear wall of front
block and central staircase. Formerly the Bailiff's house. (KLLHMS
report in NMR).
