Built about 1500 as a hall with two cross wings. Circa 1840
front, roughcast on brick, plaster and timber frame. Old tile
roof. 2 storeys and attics. 2-window' parapeted hall range with
lower, gabled cross wings, their uppr floors jettied on curved
brackets. 4, 1st floor, 3-light casements with Tudor hood
moulds. 5-light casement bay windows below jetties. Openwork
cusped gables and tall finials; central gabled attic dormer.
Long, parapeted central rear extension. Hall floored over in C17
and a passage entrance built. New centralised stair built in
C18, its rail and newels replaced in C19. C17 red brick wall to
W garden (RCHM Typescript).
