Barn. C18. Timberframed, weatherboarded with a steep old red
tile gabled roof and gabled projecting porch central on W side.
Opposed double doors. An unaisled 5-bay barn facing W attached to
S end of the Big Black Barn. Collar trusses with inclined queen
struts. Clasped purlin roof with 1 purlin to each slope. Long
slender curved braces to tie beams. Strainer between purlins at
mid-bay. Straight diagonal tension braces in walls. Modern
floor inserted in 2 S bays. Lower part of porch interior
weatherboarded and barn interior plastered to same level.
Weatherboarded and slated lean-to stables flank the W porch. An
C18 timberframed barn, little.-altered, of special interest. Part
of the group of historic barns at Hunsdon Lodge Farm.
