Farmhouse. Probably C15 or early C16, altered in C17 and
extended in C19. Timber frame plastered with steep old red tile
roofs. Originally a E crosswing with hall range extending to W
and facing S. Hall part rebuilt in C17 as 2 storeys and attics
with a large central chimney backing onto the cross-passage near
the W end. A 2-storeys C17 gabled wing was added extending S
from the service end. An C18 square porch in the angle. The S
front has 3 windows arranged under 3 gables with a pilastered
doorcase with entablature into the porch. The old crosswing has
a 2-light flush casement window over a 3-light casement. The
gable lighting the attic of the hall range has a small 2-light
window and there is a 3-light casement window on each floor
below. The C17 wing has a Cl9 sash window above a large canted and
parapeted bay window with sashes. The gable end to the road has
an early C18 2-storeys canted bay window with leaded casements
