Farmhouse. Mid C16, west range C17, carefully restored c1966. Timber frame exposed on front and rear walls with plastered panels. Red brick sill. Projecting rear wing at North plastered.
Old red tiled hipped roofs. An early three-unit lobby entry house with central chimney and continuous side-jetty along the front (east). Two-storeys timber-frame C17 rear extension with three half-hipped gables along rear wall. Front has three three-light leaded casement windows on each floor (renewed), a wide arched wooden doorway with small three-light diamond-mullioned original window over door. Bull-nosed joists and heavy knee-braces to jetty. C20 red brick and tile lean-to with two hipped dormers at south end. Clasped purlin roof with curved wind braces, collars and curved braces to tie beams. Four bay original structure with only north bay partioned as parlour. Close studded walls with internal tension braces. Several diamond mullioned original windows with shutter grooves over. Central bay distinguished by chamfers and hollow stops on both axial beam and joists. Holes for bearers of dais bench. Short edge-halved scarf joints with bridled butts. C17 wings of lighter timbering.
