Probably early C17. Large, timber-framed barn from Waterend, re-erected
on brick foundations in 1938 and used as restaurant. Very high pitched
roof with old tiles. Walls faced externally with old brick. 3 aisles,
7 bays inside, with windows and brick fireplaces inserted. Arch-braced
tie beams with struts to purlins of roof. Fairly close studden walls, but
thin scantlings.
