Barn. C17. Timber frame on brick sill, dark weatherboarded with steep
pitched red tile roof. A tall 3-bays barn facing S, at E end of a row of
farm buildings not of special interest. Jowled posts, unjowled mid-bay
posts, mid-height rails jointed in-line, and tension braces.
Clasped-purlin roof with 2 purlins to each slope. Gable end trusses have
2 collars to carry the purlins but intermediate open trusses have
inclined queen-posts to carry the lower purlin, and long queen-struts to
the high collar. Face-halved bladed scarf joints.
