Barn. C17. Timber frame on red brick sill, dark weatherboarded with
steep slate roof, carried down over a small central projection at rear.
A tall 5-bays barn facing N with double doors to the middle bay opposite
the projection which has a small upper door. Jowled posts, curved braces
to cambered tie-beams, inclined queen-posts support lower purlins of
clasped-purlin roof. Upper purlins carried on a high collar with long
queen-struts. Long straight tension braces in walls.
