Dommet chest tomb approximately 1 metre east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary

Chest tomb. Late C18 - early C19 in memory of Samuel Dommet. Beerstone. The chest
tomb sits on a chamfered plinth and has a plain flat lid. The sides contain
rectangular panels with double beaded frames. The south-facing panel is inscribed
with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. It records the death of Samuel
Dommet and his wife but a section has broken off and this included the name of Mrs
Dommet and the years in which they died.
