Villa now school boarding house. 1850-60. Stucco over brick
with hipped slate roof with right end stucco stack and iron
balcony.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with basement and 2-lower-storey entrance
bay set back slightly to left; 1:4 first-floor windows. Stucco
detailing: ground floor has horizontal rustication throughout
and quoins to main range; cornice over, with modillions above
entrance; frieze, continuous moulded first-floor sill band;
frieze above first floor and modillion eaves, with cornice and
blocking course to porch. Windows have tooled architraves to
ground and first floors, with ears and keystones to ground
floor and cornices on acanthus brackets to first floor;
entrance bay: entrance has tooled round arch with vermiculated
keystone on imposts and round-arched architrave with keystone
to first floor window. 2/2 sashes, those to ground floor are
taller and have blind boxes. Basement has 6/6 sashes.
Entrance: flight of renewed steps between low coped walls to
set-back 3-panel door with fanlight.
INTERIOR: retains original plasterwork and joinery, including
embellished cornice to hall, otherwise not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: balcony across ground floor has ornate
balustrade.
A similar design to Nos 1 (qv) and 2 (qv) College Lawn.
