Villa. c1830-50. Stucco over brick with concealed roof. L-shaped on plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic and basement, 4 first-floor windows, including 2 to bow in breakforward. Stucco detailing includes full-height pilasters to end breakforward. 6/6 sashes throughout, those to bow are curved on section. Attic has casement windows. Entrance to angle with bow: flight of steps to 4-panel, part-glazed double doors in porch with fluted columns and ornate caps, now glazed in. Left return: 6/6 sashes and 2 tripartite windows with 6/6 between 2/2 sashes to full-height bow. Right return (garden facade): to right a tripartite window with 6/6 between 2/2 sashes to ground floor, to left are French windows and glazed verandah with French windows with margin-lights. First floor has three 6/6 sashes, one with margin-lights. Further range set back to right. INTERIOR: reputed to have original features including embellished plasterwork and joinery; marble and inlaid wood fireplaces; some panelling with inlay to front drawing room; narrow-open-well staircase retains stick balusters to first floor; otherwise not inspected. Occupies a prominent corner site.
