Terrace of 3 houses and attached railings. c1820-30. Stucco
over brick with concealed roof and stucco over brick
party-wall stacks; wrought- and iron verandahs and basement
balustrade.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 6 first-floor windows (2 per house).
Stucco detailing includes first- and second-floor bands. First
floor has tall 6/6 sashes, ground floor has 8/8 sashes, second
floor has 3/3 sashes, all in plain reveals and with sills.
Entrances to left: 6-panel doors with fluted friezes and
fanlights with radial glazing. Low parapet and copings. Rear:
6/6 and 3/3 sashes; Nos 33 and 35 have fanlights at
first-floor level, that to No.33 with decorative glazing. Rear
has 6/6 and 3/3 sashes.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery including
shutters to some windows.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: balustrades across basements and to side
of door to Nos 33 and 35 have concentric circle motif; No.31
has stick balusters. Arrowhead railings to left end. Verandahs
have rod and concentric circle motif to balustrade and
scrolled uprights with openwork frieze and tent roof.
HISTORICAL NOTE: shown on Merrett's Map of 1834 as Oxford
Villas.
