Villa, now offices. c1820-30 with later additions and alterations including range to rear c1980. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof and iron window box. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 5 first-floor windows arranged 1:3:1, the central range projects. Stucco detailing includes Doric pilasters to ends and breakforward; tooled architraves to windows, those to ground floor and centre first-floor window, main range, are eared, otherwise those to first floor have shoulders and sills on feet; ground-floor central opening has segmental pediment on corbels, entrance at right has wide cornice with central pediment; first-floor windows have sills on feet. Plinth. Mainly 6/6 sashes, taller to ground floor, the central ground-floor opening is a 6-pane French window with divided overlight and margin-lights; to far left a 6/6 between 2/2 sash; entrance at far right a 6-fielded-panel door with side-lights and overlight with glazing bars. Main range has 2 tall end stacks and 1 rear stack with cornices. Rear has 6/6 sashes. INTERIOR: open-well staircase with stick balusters and wreathed handrail; panelled shutters to most windows; central drawing room has acanthus cornice and vine-leaf ceiling frieze, ceiling rose, marble fireplace with corbel brackets; most doors have fluted architraves, some embellished with anthemion and some with flowers to corners. Room to rear has similar acanthus cornice and vine ceiling frieze. Dining room to left has egg-and-dart cornice and floral ceiling frieze, rear door with margin-lights and coloured glass. Upper hall has embellished cornice. To first floor one marble Regency-type fireplace remains. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to rear a ground-floor window box with floral motif.
