SX 48 NE THRUSHELTON

Farmhouse. C17 remodelled in the C19. Rendered cob on stone rubble, C20 tile roof
with rendered stone stacks at gable ends, 1 similar stone stack on ridge. 3 room and
through passage plan, the hall stack backing on to the passage. Lean-tos at rear,
one containing the stair. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front with a slightly
off-centre front door and C19 and C20 2-light casements with glazing bars, ground
floor window right has a lowered sill.
Interior Through passage plan intact. The hall fireplace is C20 but large granite
jambs are said to survive. 2 chamfered cross beams in the hall have diagonal stops.
The interiors of the inner and lower end rooms have been modernized. Roofspace not
inspected.
