Plan: tall house set back a little from Fore Street to the south. It is 2 rooms
wide: and double depth. The entrance is in the centre of the left (west) end into an
entrance hall which contains the main stair. This divides the front 2 principal
rooms from the rear 2 service rooms. The rooms have end stacks. The right (east)
end is terraced into the hillslope. 2 storeys.
Exterior: symmetrical 2-window front of large 12-pane sashes. Deep eaves are
supported by a regular series of shaped brackets and roof is hipped each end.
Entrance in left end contains original panelled door.
Interior: includes a great deal of original joinery and other detail. A narrow
strip of ground along the front is fenced by cast-iron spear-headed railings
contemporary with the house. This is one of an attractive group of listed buildings
in the centre of Holcombe Rogus village.
