5/89 Stables approximately 12 metres
- north of Burrow Farmhouse

Stables. Late C19. Local chert rubble with larger dressed quoins; slate roof.
Plan: l-shaped stable block, both wings facing into the stable yard. The larger
north wing includes a tall gateway and has the tack room. Haylofts over the
stables.
Exterior: the west wing contains 3 round-headed doorways with narrow slit windows
between. The hayloft above is open-fronted. The adjoining part of the north wing
(that part left of the gateway) continues in the same style with 2 round-headed
doorways. The roof rises over the gateway. There are doors off each side and
hayloft loading hatch to left. The right end is the tack room. Roof is gable-
ended.
Interior: has plain carpentry detail and roof of queen post trusses.
