3/170 Thyme Square and Rose Cott

2 adjoining cottages. Probably late C18 or early C19. Painted roughcast rendered
stone rubble and cob. Thatch roof with gable end brick shafts to cob stacks.
Plan: mirror plan pair of cottages each with single room to each side of entrance
passage with staircases to rear of inner rooms.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 4-window range. All early C20 2-light casements 3 panes per
light. Thyme Square to left has early C20 porch with thatched half-hipped roof with
shaped bargeboards, ogee style lintel and 4-panelled inner door, the upper 2 panels
glazed. Rose Cott has C20 porch with gabled corrugated iron roof and similar door.
Interiors: C19 joinery principally intact.
