- Garden Cottage
GV
II

Cottage, former school. Probably late C18 - early C19, renovated and extended 1947.
Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble or cob stack topped with C20 brick;
thatched roof. Originally a 1-room plan building facing east with single storey
extensions of 1947 to front and left (south). Stack in left end wall. 2 storeys.
1-window front and rear of C20 casements, 2 with glazing bars. Ground floor front,
including site of original door to left now obscured by extensions. Roof is hipped
to right. Most of early internal features are hidden and roof is inaccessible
(although the bottom of the plain principals show). Cottage is included for its
strong group value as it backs onto churchyard. 1947 extensions are not included.
