13.9.1967 The Fold

GV II

House. Mid-C18 and early C19. Rubble limestone with sandstone dressings. Plain
tile roof with stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Stone gable end stacks and
ridge stack. Irregular L-plan. Three storey main block and two storey north wing.
South elevation - flush stone quoins. Three bays. Central full height staircase
window with pointed arched top anti two transoms. To the right, a 2-light window
with stone surround to each floor. To the left, French windows to the ground
floor. 2-light window above with chamfered stone surround and similar window
above. East elevation with off-centre doorway with moulded stone surround. C19
half-glazed door. To the left, a glazing bar sash and to the right, a tripartite
glazing bar sash and a glazing bar sash. Three glazing bar sashes above. All the
windows have dressed stone surrounds, the ground floor ones with horizontal
dripmoulds.
