House, outbuilding, gate piers and railings. c1830. Coursed squared gritstone
with rock-faced rustication to quoins and dressings, moulded copings to south west
gable and intermediate and south west gable stone stacks with coupled octagonal
chimneys, those to the south west end removed. Ground and first floor cill bands,
moulded eaves cornice and stone slated roof, hipped at north east end. Two storeys,
five bays, with 2 and 3-light windows within Gibbsian surrounds of massive rock-
faced masonry, the window to the ground floor at the north east end now with
double glazed doors Keyblocks to 3-light windows at south west end link with
bands above. Off-centre doorway with rock-faced Gibbsian surround and six panelled
door with rectangular overlight of four panes. Outbuilding to south west end with
parapet supporting crenellations and pinnacles, presumably discarded from the
parish church. Entrance gate piers, square on plan, with depressed pyramidal
caps, in heavily rusticated masonry throughout. Ornamental cast iron gates, with
spear headed rails to upper part and diamond lattice work below. Pedestrian gate
to centre.
