A Grade II Listed Building in Pamphill, Dorset

Keepers Lodge in the early 1900's

Uploader's Comments

The section from the middle chimney to the left hand chimney, was demolished in 1970. It was built in stone and is likely to predate the 1563 timber-framed house. It may well have linked with a sub-manor called Abbottstrete that was granted to Sherborne Abbey in the 1130's by King Stephen. One of the previous names for this property was Rabbys farm, relating to the Abbey's farm.
