4/118 Hamble Cottage

GV II

Cottage, formerly 2 cottages. Mid-C18. Plastered walls, tiled roof with
bargeboards to gables, one brick stack at left end, one left of centre. At
right angles to road. 2 storeys. At right end, added gabled porch with
pantile roof and stable door. Part glazed door nearer left end. Ground and
first floors each have 3 casements with glazing bars. Believed to be part of
the original New Town - developed when the original village of Moor Crichel
was removed to create Crichel Park. (R.C.H.M. Monument 12. Dorset Vol V).
