5/31 Springfield Cottage

II

Detached cottage. Probably late C18. Walls, lower parts brick, upper parts
plastered cob. Thatched roof, half hipped at right end, brick stack at left
end. One storey and attic. Added porch with gabled tiled roof and C20 oak
ledged door. Ground floor has 2 casements with centre horizontal bar. Attic
has 2 dormers with similar casements. C20 single storey rear lean-to.
Lean-to garage at left end. Internally, some exposed ceiling beams. Largely
unaltered.
