Public house, c.1840 with late C20 additions. Rendered and painted brick with
stone quoins, Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. 2-storey, 3-bay front with
2-storey, 3-bay wing attached to rear. Front has tooled-and-margined quoins;
central glazed C20 door and single-pane overlight; 12-pane sashes with C20
louvred external shutters, projecting sills and slightly segmental heads. Roof
has coped gables and end chimneys. Gabled left return has slightly-projecting
external stack and a 12-pane sash. Rear wing has central doorcase with Tuscan
pilasters and inserted 2-pane sash; flanking tripartite windows and three 12-
pane sashes above. Coped rear gable and end chimney. C20 stone porch attached
to left return of main front and attached buildings to right and rear not of
special interest.
