Cottage, late C17 or early C18. In c1970 following a fire the
cottage was re-roofed and the roof of the extension raised.
Timber-framed, plaster rendered with a steeply pitched roof of
red pantiles, re-used, (originally thatched). Original gault
brick ridge stack of grouped shafts. Lobby entry plan extended
by a narrow bay to the left hand. One storey and attic. The
three dormers are all C20, as are the ground floor windows,
except for one casement with leaded lights which may be C18.
The doorway which would have been opposite the stack has been
moved to open into the centre bay. Inside the timber-framing is
of elm of light scantling. There is a re-used C16 hollow and
roll moulded main beam in the centre bay.
