Farmhouse, now house. Early - mid C17, extended to left later C17 with C19 and
C20 alterations. Rubble, rendered, double Roman tiled roof with gable stack to
right, end bay to left and lean-to and outhouse pantiled. Originally 2-room and
through passage plan. 2 storeys and 4 windows, ground floor has three 3-light
C20 casements, C20 gabled porch 2nd from right, first floor has 3-light casements
under eaves, 2 to right retaining early wooden rounded frames, single storey
lean-to to right. Right return has small single light in lean-to. Rear has
2-storey former outhouse attached to right with 2-light casement at first floor
rear and C20 single storey addition in angle to main house with 2 doors and plate-
glass windows; lean-to to left has door with segmental head; rear of main house
has three 2-light casements under eaves, 2 small 2-light casements at ground
floor, to left retaining early frame and mullion, rear passage door in C20
gabled porch with outer glazed door and small single stair light at upper level
to right of porch, oven projection with pitched roof to left by gable stack.
Interior: chamfered and stopped beam along passage, end room to right has wide
chamfered wooden lintel to fireplace, oven recess to left, fireplace largely
rebuilt; room to left divided for later straight stair; 4-bay roof over original
2 rooms, only principal rafters visible. There was formerly a manor of Ham and
Wemberham in Yatton parish, Home Farmhouse may have been part of this.
