1801 date, Jessop, engineer; shortened c.1880. Plain single storey red-brown
brick stables with gabled slate roof. Four doorways to individual stables,
each with 6 stalls (3 left, 3 right). Small-pane windows under camber-arch
heads. Timber louvred ventilator along ridge. INTERIOR: Part cobbled with
timber stalls, open to roof. TO NORTH WEST: Added outdoor brick stalls.
Restored 1982-3.
