1880-90 brown brick building against bank and retaining wall at east side of
upper narrow lock. Upper storey at ground level west, lower storey east.
Small flush chimney on south gable. Small-pane cast iron windows under camber-
arched heads. Boarded doors to lower floor (east) and upper floor (west).
Built to store timber patterns to form iron-casting mods (for Foundry, part
of 7/21 (qv)). Contemporary with narrow locks (item 7/18, qv).
