Pair of houses in row, with shops. Early C19. Painted
brickwork, asbestos-cement slate mansard roof.
2 storeys and attic, each 1 window; a 4-pane sash and a
2-light casement flat-roofed dormer, above 2-storey bows, with
8:12:8-pane sashes at first floor. Ground floor to No.2 is in
3 lights with sash-box mullions, and with a mid-height glazing
bar, and No.3 has a 6-pane bow under an ovolo-mould cornice
and frieze. Each has, to the left, an arched doorway with
6-panel fielded door (part-glazed to No.3), under plain
fanlights, and on 2 nosed steps. A small plinth, and a simple
cornice with paired brick dentils, high blocking course, cut
down opposite each dormer, and parapet. Central ridge stack.
