Gate-piers and flanking walls. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar. Composite gate-piers with chamfered bases to square block entablatures with cyma-moulded cornices, surmounted by ball finials. Walls have cyma-moulded coping which dips and then ramps to the outer sides. Left-hand end has doorway with monolithic jambs and lintel with chamfered surround. Ball finials to corners. Right-hand return wall ramps to meeting with house and has doorway with composite jambs and basket-arched lintel with chamfered surround. To the left of this doorway is three-light double-chamfered mullioned window partly obscured by steps to first floor doorway of house (q.v.). Deep cyma-moulded string course carries over door and window.
