An Albert Memorial inspired design erected in memory of Swithin Anderton J P, + 1860
and his family. Instead of a statue a column on a pedestal rises to support the
ribbed vault of the canopy. Richly carved clustered columns to the corners
surmounted by pinnacles. Crocketed gables and short spire rising from octagonal
crenellated base. The pedestal is signed I S L Thornton.
