3/97 War Memorial in Rydings Park

War Memorial by F. W. Doyle-Jones 1922.
Tall marble column on plinth is surmounted by good quality bronze statue of
winged angel standing on a ball holding a crown of laurels aloft. At first
designed for Thornton Square Brighouse the site changed to Rydings Park before
the dedication.
